Kenya School Lunch Project

Last month, Childcare Worldwide began a new project in Kenya. Teachers in two schools, where Christian Character Building lessons are being taught, reported that many children were so hungry they fainted or fell asleep in class. In this condition, children were unable to focus on their school lessons and unable to pay attention to the lessons on Christian character which are taught after school.
To relieve the suffering of these children and to help them succeed, Childcare Worldwide started a school lunch project at the Rurii and Baraka Primary Schools. The project provides daily nutritious lunches to those children whose cases are most serious. These lunches help ensure that these children will be able to get the most of their education.
A gift of $20 will give nutritious lunches to one child for a whole month.
