Unsponsored Children's Fund

sponsor a child in need

Children are accepted into the program after they have received a sponsor. However, sometimes it happens that there is a particular need situation that makes it necessary to rescue a child and put him or her into one of our homes even before a sponsor has been found.

Another situation can come up where children already in one of our children’s homes lose their sponsor.

In both cases, we have to act in the interest of the child. This means we cannot leave children in a need situation that may be dangerous for them, and if they already are in a home and then lose their sponsor, we cannot send them away.

Even though such children are on the priority list for sponsorship, it may take several months until new sponsors have been found for them. Because ongoing expenses for such children are not in our regular budget, the Unsponsored Children’s Fund is a necessary emergency fund to help such children. Your gift will help encourage the child and us as we wait for a sponsor to step forward.
