Helping Children Survive
Before many children in the developing world have the opportunity to succeed educationally, they must first be given the hope of basic survival. With threats of widespread hunger, water-related diseases and various other medical challenges, it is critical that Childcare Worldwide focus first on helping children survive by meeting their basic needs.
How it works: We are dedicated to meeting children's needs through feeding programs, medical clinics, water management projects and other programs focused on basic survival.
Helping Children Succeed through Education
Childcare Worldwide's focus is Child Sponsorship, a program that gives boys and girls the opportunity to succeed educationally through attending school. With millions of children in the developing world who do not have access to education, Childcare Worldwide seeks to make learning and the hope of future employment possible for every child we serve. The ultimate goal of education is to break the cycle of poverty in children's lives.
How it works: Childcare Worldwide's sponsorship program supports children through their schooling by paying for their uniforms, school materials and exam fees. After completing their basic education, students can choose to continue on to trade school or other further studies that will make them employable in their community.
Helping Children Grow Spiritually
Childcare Worldwide sees the vital importance of children developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ from a young age. Our Christian Character Building program teaches children character skills through a scripture-based, culturally relevant curriculum.
How it works: Childcare Worldwide's Christian Character Building is an after-school program taught through a series of effective methods including skits, Bible stories and memory verses. In the program, children are encouraged to develop good character traits that will transform their lives. As they grow up, they will have the opportunity to apply these skills in their roles as parents and leaders, transforming their nations.
