Fresh From the Field: Life Center Updates
These stories just came in—real moments of hope, healing, and transformation made possible by your support.
Jesintha is an 18-year-old student whose life has been shaped through her years at the Life Center. Coming from a family facing significant financial hardship, she first joined as a child during a season marked by uncertainty and worry. At the Life Center, she found both support and discipleship.
Through weekly teaching, prayer, and encouragement from her teachers, Jesintha came to know Jesus personally and began growing in her faith. What once felt overwhelming began to change as she learned to trust God and rely on prayer. Today, Jesintha is studying in college and pursuing a future in the IT field. Her family has seen a shift from struggle to hope, strengthened through practical support like groceries and tuition assistance, and a deepening faith in Christ. Jesintha shares, “Jesus never fails, and my life is an example of it.”
Olivia is a 10-year-old girl from Luvule village whose life and family have been impacted through her Life Center. Before joining, she showed little interest in church or spiritual things, like many children in her community. That began to change when she started attending Luvule Christian Fellowship Life Center. Through weekly discipleship, Olivia developed a growing passion for God, learning to pray and read the Bible in both English and her native language.
What she learns does not stay at the Life Center. Olivia now shares Bible lessons and memory verses with her siblings and encourages her family in their faith. Her mother has seen clear changes in her behavior, from helping at home to bringing peace during conflict. Through the Life Center, Olivia is growing in faith and becoming a light within her home. This past Christmas, Life Centers across Uganda, Kenya, Peru, India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand were filled with celebration as 4,058 children gathered to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Through Love Packs, children received thoughtful gifts such as blankets, clothing, and meaningful items that met practical needs while reminding them they are loved and cared for.
Children sang, prayed, shared meals, and heard the story of Jesus’ birth through their Life Centers and local churches. These celebrations built on the Gospel centered discipleship that happens each week, offering children a joyful reminder of the hope found in Christ.
Because of faithful sponsors and donors, thousands of children experienced both tangible care and eternal truth. Scroll down to view photo galleries from each country and see the joy of these celebrations firsthand.
A Heartfelt Sponsor Visit with HL & Debby Goodwin
When HL and Debby Goodwin from Cross Pointe Community Church visited their sponsored child, Ezra Kigaye, they were welcomed with songs, dancing, and deep gratitude from his family and community. During the visit, Ezra shared about his schooling and dreams, and his family expressed heartfelt thanks for the education, care, and spiritual support made possible through sponsorship.
As they prayed together and shared encouragement, the connection grew even stronger. This heartfelt visit was a powerful reminder that sponsorship is more than financial support. It is family in Christ.
